Man on mobility scooter hurt in Harrogate crash

An elderly man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was in a crash with a lorry while riding a mobility scooter on Wetherby Road.

The 85-year-old has been taken to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment after the crash at 2.40pm today, Tuesday, April 19, near Sainsbury’s.

His injuries are said to be serious but not life-threatening.

Harrogate police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Harrogate police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Rob Roberts.
