Man charged over serious Ripon assault

The Harrogate Serious Crime Team at North Yorkshire Police has charged a 22-year-old man from Ripon with causing grievous bodily harm.

He will appear at Harrogate Magistrates Court this morning.

The victim, an 18-year-old man from Ripon, has remained in a critical condition in hospital since the alleged attack in Quarry Moor Lane, in the early hours of Sunday.

Witnesses are urged to contact police by calling 101, pressing 2 and asking to speak to the Harrogate Serious Crime Team.
