Lucky escape for two men after Tadcaster crash

Two men have escaped uninjured from a nasty crash which left the car in a ditch on a road near Tadcaster

The black Honda Civic Type-R was the only car involved in the incident which happened around 7am on the A162 at Tadcaster on Saturday March 5.

The car was left with a wooden post through the door and the front bumper completely detached but the two male occupants were uninjured.

Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and have appealed for witnesses to come forward with information.

TC Mark Patterson, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, said: "I want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or the vehicle as it travelled north on the A162 from Towton towards Tadcaster."
