Lottery ticket left unclaimed

A LOTTERY ticket holder in Harrogate has lost £62,729 after failing to claim their prize.

The holder of the winning ticket, bought in the borough of Harrogate and drawn on December 8, had until 5.30pm on Monday to come forward.

They had matched five numbers and the bonus ball, but having failed to claim their prize the money will now pass to Camelot’s Good Causes, supporting a number of charities.

A spokesman said: “We tried very hard to find the ticket-holder and it’s a real shame that they have missed out, but there is still one winner – the nation.”
