A Yorkshire Water spokesman explained that a pipe burst on Linton Road last Sunday afternoon.
“We sent a team of engineers out to repair it on the same day,” said a spokesman for the company.

The historic Linton Bridge, linking Collingham and Linton, was closed for 20 months while engineers carried out £5.1m of repairs caused to its foundations during Storm Eva in December 2015.
It’s reopening following the long closure was celebrated when a huge party was held, reuniting villagers, in September 2017.
