Law firm backs hospice for second year

Harrogate Family Law has pledged its support to Saint Michael's Hospice for a second year by renewing its membership of the charity's Business 500 Club.

Andrew Meehan, founder and managing director of Harrogate Family Law, said he was proud that his company was one of the like-minded local businesses that provides sustained financial support to the hospice.

Mr Meehan launched Harrogate Family Law in 2010 and the firm recently celebrated its fifth anniversary with a move to new larger offices on Victoria Avenue in the town.

“Our support of Saint Michaels demonstrates our commitment to the local community, which we have become very much a part of over the past five years,” said Mr Meehan.

“We are very fortunate to have a place like Saint Michael’s Hospice in Harrogate, providing specialist care and support to those affected by terminal illness and bereavement in Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and the surrounding areas,” he added.

“The money raised by us and our fellow corporate supporters will help to ensure the charity’s dedicated staff and volunteers can provide much-needed care and services to those who need it.”

Chief Executive of Saint Michael’s Tony Collins said: “The on-going contribution from Andrew and his team will make a real difference to local people living with terminal illness and bereavement, and their families.
