Knaresborough man critical after crash

A biker from Knaresborough is fighting for his life after a crash near the A59 yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

The 67-year-old was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance, where he is in a critical condition.

Police say the crash happened on Kex Gill Road near the A59 at around 3.45pm.

The man, riding a yellow Suzuki motorcycle from Bolton Abbey to Harrogate, crashed near Blubberhouses.

“If you witnessed the collision, or saw the motorcycle prior to the incident, I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away as you may have vital information which could help the investigation,” said Traffic Sgt John Lumbard, of North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Group.
