Paul Carrack: as part of his current tour singer, song writer Paul Carrack will be performing at the Royal Hall, Ripon Road at 7.30pm on Wednesday, November 28. His shows are usually described as always having a good feeling and joining him on this tour will be his son Jack. On his tour next year he will be joined by Eric Clapton.
Christmas Event: from Thursday, November 19 to Sunday, December 2 the Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair will take place at the International Centre, Kings Road, Harrogate. Hundreds of exhibitors offering quality goods with a high standard of craftsmanship will give visitors a chance to find those more individual Christmas presents. There is also the opportunity to try tasty traditional treats from the food hall and learn from the experts in the food and craft theatres. Tickets bought in advance are £10 and £12.50 at the door.
Craft Workshops: at the Cairn Hotel, Ripon Road on Saturday, November 24. Perfectly Crafted will run a workshop aimed at making Christmas gifts and accessories for parties. All materials and equipment will be provided to help make things to a professional standard at a fraction of the cost to help you to wrap gifts and dress your table with style. English Lessons: there are ongoing English lessons to be had in the Lounge Room at Mowbray Community Church, Westmoreland Street. The lessons are led by Margaret Willan and are aimed at those wanting to learn English as a foreign language offering the chance to those from abroad resident in Harrogate to integrate and function better. Tots And Toys: the playgroup for newborns to children of four runs from 10-11.30am in the Side Hall at Mowbray Community Church, Westmoreland Street (near the Skipton Road junction).
