Jewellery stolen in Harrogate burglary

POLICE ARE appealing for witnesses to a burglary in Harrogate in which jewellery was stolen.

The burglary happened at a house in Oakdale at about 1.30pm on Friday.

A man wearing a blue shirt and cargo shorts was seen leaving the address.

A police spokesperson said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"In particular, we are appealing for information about the unknown man and possible sightings before or after the burglary.
