MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough Andrew Jones joined politicians and families at Starbeck’s war memorial.

He and many businesses and societies laid wreaths to commemorate those who have died fighting for our country.

She said: “The service was extremely well attended with eleven standards, a parade with Brigades with marching band cubs, scouts, beavers, air cadets and St Johns Ambulance.

“Starbeck School joined in with a choir and a poetry reading alongside representatives from all four local churches.

“The school children had made a field of poppies behind the war memorial.

“All our local councillors laid wreaths,as did Andrew Jones MP and many wreaths were laid by local groups and societies.”
