Hudson's Heatwave at Spa beer festival

BBC Look North weatherman Paul Hudson is supporting this year's Boston Spa Beer Festival which opens its doors tomorrow.

Run by a team of dedicated dads and village volunteers, the event’s committee have raised over £60,000 since they started back in 2009.

The money all goes towards essential classroom equipment at St Mary’s Primary School and helps maintain the building at the heart of this community – the village hall.

“This year BBC weatherman and North Leeds Dad, Paul Hudson, is bringing a warm front to the bar with his festival ale, Hudson’s Heatwave,” said festival spokesman Jonny Gray.

“It has a golden taste of summer, a welcome reprieve from this winter’s wet and windy forecasts.

“We are delighted that Yorkshire’s favourite weather presenter is lending his support to Boston Spa’s February festival.

“The Committee’s also indebted to loyal sponsors Renton & Parr – invaluable support for the third year running.”

The beer festival will be in Boston Spa village hall on Friday 19 (6pm-midnight) and Saturday 20 February (1-8pm).
