Harrogate weather: Sunny spells to continue... but will it last for the weekend?
Harrogate will be bathed in sunshine once again today as May's sunny spell continues into the weekend.
There may be a chilly start for some, but temperatures will soon warm up across the region and could come close to 20C in some places.
More importantly, the weather is also looking fine for the weekend with Saturday expected to be the pick of the pair with the Met Office forecasting dry and fine conditions. Sunday is expected to be a little more cloudy.
Harrogate weather for today:
After a chilly start, dry and fine across the region with only a little fair weather cloud bubbling up through the morning and feeling pleasant in the sunshine, though slightly cooler on the coast with the slight onshore breeze. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Harrogate weather for tonight:
Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to fall away, with a local grass frost possible by the end of the night, perhaps the odd fog patch developing also. Minimum temperature 1 °C.
Harrogate weather for Friday:
After another cold start, a warmer day with only fair weather cloud developing, and winds remaining light. Sunshine may turn hazy as high level cloud increases from the northwest later. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Harrogate outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Dry and fine on Saturday, Cloudier on Sunday and feeling cooler as fresher south westerly winds develop. Cloudy on Monday, but winds will have eased.
