Our public survey on page six of this newspaper gives readers plenty of opportunities to offer their positive ideas to counter the current national trend of restaurant and shop closures.

Our Town Centre Survey has already received the support of the leader of the body seeking to boost the local economy by making Harrogate a Business Improvement District.

John Fox Chair of the Harrogate BID (Business Improvement District) said “ We wholeheartedly support the Harrogate Advertiser’s Town Centre Survey.

“We are fully behind encouraging readers to participate in this survey and we will be interested in seeing the results.”

The BID team, which is supported by Harrogate Borough Council and the town’s leading business bodies, is already generating ideas for improvements, including the possibilty of having

As part of the growing pressure for change, the Harrogate Advertiser is asking readers to complete our survey.

The results will be published in this newspaper and your views will also be presented to Harrogate Borough Council, the BID team, Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce and Visit Harrogate.
