Harrogate singer’s Radio One boost

A Harrogate singer was given two reasons to celebrate this week as her musical career goes from strength to strength.

Katie Skinner, 22, a former St Aidan’s student signed a record deal this week, just hours after her song was played on BBC Radio One.

The singer songwriter who recently graduated from Leeds College of Music said: “It has been a bit of a mad week really, I hadn’t realised my song would be played on Radio One but then I got lots of messages from people who had heard it.”
