Harrogate mum, Chloe Darcy and her parents, Sally and Terry Ryan all participated in a sponsored dog walk for the charity in April, raising a combined total of £1,390.

Last week, Chloe told the Harrogate Advertiser about how she became involved with Pets as Therapy through her daughter, who has one of the 'most stigmatised' mental health disorders.

The charity uses volunteers with trustworthy pets to visit hospital wards, specialist schools, care homes to bring enjoyment and fun to patients and students who might be facing various hardships.

But to say thank you for their efforts to support the charity's work, the Harrogate branch of retailer, Orvis, has donated a memory foam dog bed on behalf of Pets as Therapy to Chloe's family.
