Craft Aid International is raising money to set up a new crafts centre in Peru to provide training and employment for adults with disabilities living in poverty.

The charity already runs weekly craft workshops in Harrogate, Ripon and Leeds and aims to provide a fun and caring environment for people to work as part of a team towards a common

goal.

Craft Aid International had a stall at the Knitting and Stitching show which closed yesterday.

Participants from the Harrogate craft sessions helped behind the counter and worked on their stand, teaching people how to make pom-poms using a special gadget as well as selling hand-made crafts.

The Harrogate craft sessions run on Thursdays from 1pm - 3pm at St. Andrew’s Church in Starbeck. Contact Susie Hart on 01423 202734 for more information.
