Hampsthwaite Book Exchange: the next one will take place today, November 22 from 2pm at the Village Room.
Film Show in Hampsthwaite: The Blues Brothers will he shown at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 24 at 7.30pm. The audience is invited to dress in black. A bar is available and themed nibbles will be served. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for under 16s, and are available from the post office.
Hampsthwaite Panto: I popped into the Memorial Hall the other Sunday to see how rehearsals are going for this year’s pantomime and it promises to be another amusing and entertaining show. The Hampsthwaite Players are performing The Wizard of Oz at the Memorial Hall between Wednesday, November 28 and Saturday, December 1 at 7.45pm with a matinee on the Saturday at 2pm. Tickets are on sale at £6 for adults and £4 for children under 12 and are available from the post office, or by ringing Janine on 770604.
St Andrew’s Church, Burnt Yates: there is to be a Saint Andrew’s charity evening in aid of Sight Savers in the church on Friday, November 30. Floristry Workshop: nationally recognised florist, Susan Fairhurst is holding a Christmas Floristry Workshop at Kettlesing Millennium Village Hall on Saturday, December 1. There will be the opportunity to complete three different designs for your home to complement your Christmas decor. Tickets are priced at £20 each and will include morning coffee and lunch. Burnt Yates Coffee Morning: the next one will have a festive theme and is an opportunity to stock up on Christmas goodies. It will be held on Wednesday, December 5 at 10am at St Andrew’s Church.
