Film Day in Hampsthwaite: Stephen Brown is holding another of his very popular film study days on Saturday, November 9 between 10am-4pm at Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall. The course is entitled, Thank You For the Music and will be a look at how the type of composition affects the way the audience views a film, how soundtracks are put together, the lives of composers and how they are represented in films. The full fee for the day is £29.50 which includes lunch and a glass of wine and places can be reserved by contacting Stephen on 01423 359142.
Film Show in Hampsthwaite: Skyfall the most recent James Bond adventure with Judy Dench as M will the shown on Saturday, November 9 at Hampsthwaite’s own picture house ie the memorial hall. The screen is larger than last season and there will be improved acoustics.
Clint cum Hamlet’s Parish Council: will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 7.30pm at the Bay Horse Community Centre.
Hampsthwaite Players: will be bringing their Christmas show to the village with its Pompeii Pantomime which is an original family panto written and produced by Janet Bates. It contains the usual bad jokes, bad dancing and lots of mucking about and tickets will undoubtedly go like hot cakes. The show will be performed at 7.45pm on November to 27 to 30 with a 2pm matinee on the Saturday. Tickets are on sale at the post office, members of the players or by ringing 01423 770604 and are £7 for adults and £4 for children.
Festive Coffee Morning: the last one for 2013 to be held at St Andrew’s Church in Burnt Yates will be held on Wednesday, December 4 between 10-11.30am when as well as refreshments, cards, wreaths and gifts will be available.
