Guests gathered for a night of celebration to mark the opening of a new restaurant at The Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate.
The new Scran restaurant and bar is headed up by executive chef Dean Sowden, previously of Harrogate’s longstanding Deano’s Graze and Grill before he sold the business last year.
Dean cut his teeth at the age of 16, working alongside Michelin starred chef Simon Gueller at Millers in Harrogate.
He then continued in many well-established restaurants in Yorkshire such as Rascasse and Harvey Nichols in Leeds, picking up numerous accolades.
Scran will serve contemporary British cuisine with locally sourced ingredients.
Group managing director Simon Cotton said: “Scran Restaurant and The Yorkshire are terrific additions to the group. We are really excited to announce the opening of the restaurant, with the upgrading of the bedrooms to follow shortly.”
The restaurant is owned by the HRH Group and has become part of its hospitality property portfolio and will join The White Hart Hotel and Apartments and Fat Badger pub as flagship venues in Harrogate.
