The Church of St Joseph and St James Follifoot: the service on Sunday, October 21 will be holy communion and harvest festival at 10.30am. Everyone is invited to stay for coffee, harvest biscuits and gossip after the service.

Kerbside Recycling: at Follifoot will be on Monday, October 22. Apparently, some residents are confused by the reference to grey bins as some are obviously black. Grey and green refer to the type of collection not the colour of the bins.

FOFS: the friends of Follifoot school will be hosting a children’s Halloween party on Friday, October 26 from 3.30-5.30pm in the village hall. There will be a cake stall; tombola; a milk shake stall; Spanish bingo (how does that work?); face painting; tattoos; hook a duck and a colouring corner. Tickets will be £5 each and will include a spaghetti bolognese tea. Proceeds, as usual will go towards various improvements in the equipment and activities at the school. For more details see or Email at

Follifoot with Plompton Parish Council: commencing at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be served at 7pm. Rudding Estate will be giving a presentation on the proposed affordable housing and recreational area in Follifoot. Parish couns will be available to discuss any queries on or comments that residents may have on parish matters. All residents are welcome.

Follifoot Indoor Bowls: started on Tuesday, October 2 and will take place at 8pm in the village hall on all subsequent Tuesdays in the season unless otherwise informed. All are welcome including beginners for a friendly and interesting evening. Contact Barrie Butler on 01423 872354; Mike Keenan 01423 872593; Mike Cave 01423 810448 or just turn up on the night.
