US burger chain Five Guys has confirmed it will be bringing its fast food restaurant to Harrogate this summer.

The burger chain, which was recently named as Britain's favourite fast-food chain, confirmed on Twitter they would soon be arriving in Harrogate.

While Five Guys did not confirm where in Harrogate they would be setting up shop, a job advert suggests it could be on Parliament Street.

The store is advertising for a General Manager and has listed the postcode for the 17-23 Parliament Street development as its location.

The complex is already home to Jamie's Italian, Nandos and Orologium after the building owner, Lateral Property, committed to a multi-million pound development in 2013.

The development was estimated to develop between 150 and 200 jobs in a bid to transform the street into a modern retail facility.

Five Guys already opened a number of restaurants across Yorkshire including on Kirkstall Road and Duncan Street in Leeds and in Sheffield's Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
