On Twitter PC Amanda Hanush-Moore said: "Advertising your house party on Facebook doesn't seem the best of ideas especially when near on 100 so called 'mates' turn up and trash it.

"Sadly some residents of Harrogate will be waking up to an unholy mess this morning due to the 100 strong teenage revellers on their street. I just feel sorry for those residents who wake up to the mess left on their street this morning."

Harrogate Police tweeted to say officers had fireworks thrown at them while dispersing a large crowd in the town, but nobody was injured.
