Firefighters rescue Oscar the Cockapoo from hole in Knaresborough

Firefighters rescued a dog that fell down a hole in Knaresborough.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service attended Abbey Road shortly after 1pm today.

A Cockapoo, called Oscar, had fallen down a hole around 10ft deep located between two houses.

A spokesman said: "Oscar the Cockapoo was rescued uninjured by fire crews using a triple extension ladder and handed back over to his owner."
