Fire spectacular for Harrogate's Valley Gardens this week

The legendary Van Morrison has already performed but things will really hot up at this year's Harrogate International Festival tonight, Thursday with an incredibly spectacular fire show.

Held in the Valley Gardens, the Fire Garden will be the centrepiece of the event’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Presented by internationally-renowned French company, Carabosse and co-commissioned by Yorkshire Festival with help from Harrogate Borough Council, the audience can expect a fiery spectacle of sculptures and installations on a grand scale.

From 8pm to midnight, this ticketed event will feature musicians, dreamers, metal-workers, and storytellers, all to serve up a gloriously atmospheric feast for the senses.

Harrogate International Festivals is launching its town centre box office this Saturday at the Victoria Shopping Centre Piazza, Harrogate with street theatre, music, children’s games and book giveaways.

The Town Centre Box Office, will be located at Victoria Shopping Piazza opposite the train station, and will open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-3pm until Sunday, July 23.

One of the leading cultural organisations in the north of England, as part of the festival’s anniversary year, the festival has also launched The Future 50 Appeal to raise £1m, to help secure the future of the organisation for the next 50 years of exciting arts and culture.
