It’s a midget gem of a North Yorkshire-based festival which excels in classical music and jazz but this week Northern Aldborough Festival launched its most family-friendly programme to date.
Held in the lovely village of Aldborough near Boroughbridge, as well as the likes of Anna Tsybuleva , the winner of the 2015 Leeds Piano Competition, Perfect Pitch Opera’s Carmen and Liane Carroll Trio jazz trio, the festival is also presenting The Magic Piano.
Held at at St Aidan’s School in Harrogate tomorrow, Sunday, June 26, the film by Oscar® award-winning creators BreakThru Films introduces the music of Chopin whilst creating a spellbinding performance for children and parents alike.
Festival director Robert Ogden, said: “We always try to cater for children, but this year we have taken it to a new level. The film is a beautiful way to introduce children to classical music-piano, in particular. We’re looking forward to seeing their reactions!”
