Tadcaster recycling centre reopens

Following the successful opening of 14 North Yorkshire household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) on May 6 and 14, five more re-opened on Tuesday.

Following the successful opening of 14 North Yorkshire household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) on May 6 and 14, five more re-opened on Tuesday.

Tadcaster’s Station Road Industrial Estate is among the further sites to reopen in a safe and controlled manner, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Coun Andrew Lee, Executive Member for Waste Management, said: “It is great to see all but one of the sites reopening.”

Social distancing must be observed, with people remaining at least two metres apart at all times.
