Booking still needed for recycling

Anyone wanting to visit Leeds recycling centres are being reminded that they still need to book an appointment.

Leeds City Council issued to the message this week and said that the booking system was introduced to protect staff and visitors during the pandemic.

“You still need to book an appointment to visit,” said the spokesman.

“You can book online at www.leeds.gov.uk/recyclingsites. This is to ensure the safety of customers and staff on site.

“Unfortunately our staff won’t be able to help you unload your car or put items in the skip. If you need help with larger items, you can book a bulky waste collection at www.leeds.gov.uk/bulky
