Elderly motorist suffers serious injuries in two car crash in Harrogate
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident which involved two cars on Wetherby Road at the junction with Railway Road by the Sainsbury’s traffic lights.
A spokesperson said there was a white Mini Cooper which was travelling on Wetherby Road towards Harrogate and a small white VW Up which was using the junction.

Hide AdThe 86-year-old, from Bardsey, was the driver of the VW and was taken to Leeds General infirmary where she was admitted with serious leg, arm and internal injuries. A 61-year-old woman from Thorp Arch was the driver of the Mini. She suffered slight injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The road was closed for three hours while the scene was investigated and cleared and now North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened around 12.35pm, or anyone who saw either car before the incident to get in touch.
