Permanent school exclusions in Harrogate: what is being done to support young people who feel abandoned and written off

Permanent school exclusions can leave dozens of young people feeling abandoned and written off if there isn't enough support in place, an alternative education provider in Starbeck has warned.

The latest figures released by the Department of Education show 2,785 fixed term exclusions in North Yorkshire in 2015/16, and 66 permanent exclusions.
