Children from Highfield Prep School celebrated outstanding speech and drama exam success, including a perfect score for two pupils.
More than 130 children from Highfield took the LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) exams earlier this year and every single pupil passed. All pupils in Years two to four who took the exams achieved distinctions and two outstanding pupils, Mia Jaffar and Millie Kay, each achieved perfect marks of 100 per cent.
Highfield’s specialist drama teacher, Lesley Lloyd, said: “I am so proud of all of these young children who have shown the confidence to enter an examination room on their own, recite a poem and then lead a conversation with the examiner. During my 27 years of drama teaching I have shared in the success of hundreds of pupils but never have any of them scored 100 per cent - Mia and Millie’s achievements are truly remarkable.”
