Detectives continue investigation into serious sexual assault on girl, 14, in Harrogate's Valley Gardens

Detectives are today continuing their investigations into a serious sexual assault carried out by three men on a 14-year-old girl in Harrogate.

The teenager was grabbed by three men in the town’s Valley Gardens at around 4am yesterday (Tuesday. February 16).

She was taken to a wooded area near Harlow Moor Road and subjected to a serious sexual assault.

Detective Inspector Mark Pearson said: “The scene remains cordoned off today so police can carry out a thorough search of the area.

“The victim continues to be offered support by specially-trained officers while investigations continue.”
