Dance school in national finals

Danceworx based in Harrogate and knaresborough has beaten off the competition of thousands of entries in a National competition for dance school of the year.

The outfit will attend the final in two week’s time which will see 25 of the best in the country compete for the title.

Principle Joanne Middleton said: “I am thrilled and honored to be nominated but couldn’t do it without my fabulous teachers and the hard work of all our students.” And the school will be judged by leading experts on teaching staff, quality and standard of work, students achievements and percentage of examinations gaining distinction.

Among them is: Francis Thomas, Royal Ballet Junior Associate and The Mouse in Northern Ballet Christmas production; Elizabeth Young, Royal Ballet Junior Associate and Northern Ballet Junior Associate; Maya Hinchliffe, Bray Laine Theatre Arts; Robyn McIntyre, Urdang Academy; Kelly Stocker, Italia Conti; Emily Savage, SLP; Millie Gaston, Manchester School of Theatre Arts; Coral River Mason, second series of Old Jack’s Boat CBBC.
