Hookstone Memorial Hall: the pea and pie supper with entertainment held on Saturday, February 16 was thoroughly enjoyed by all who came. The evening started with the supper of Kendals pork pies from Pateley Bridge accompanied by home cooked peas boiled with ham shank and pork ribs together with mint sauce. The audience was then fascinated with the magical tricks and illusions of a local magician which was followed by three games of bingo, the winner of each receiving a prize. Everyone then joined in the party game of Steal where small prizes are won and then lost by the participants, with much hilarity all round. The evening concluded with the drawing of the raffle, with many lovely prizes won.

The organisers would like to thank the many people who provided all the help and assistance to make the event possible, with particular mention to entertainers, kitchen assistants, drinks server, raffle organiser, treasurer and to all the many local people who donated so generously to ensure the success of the evening. The evening raised £300.
