Macmillan Coffee Day: Judy Barker and friends will be hosting another Macmillan Coffee Day on Saturday, September 28, 10am-1pm. This year the event will be held at Darley Memorial Hall, Sheepcote Lane ,Darley. Due to all your support for these amazing people who help so many affected by this terrible disease, we now need a larger venue, more space to sit and chat while enjoying tea, coffee, scones and wonderful cakes, also there is more car parking. We also have a tombola, raffle, cake stall, and other stalls. Last year over £2,000 was raised, so please come and support this worthwhile cause. anyone wanting a lift please ring Judy 781512.

Summerbridge WI: the next meeting is on Monday, September 2 at 7pm in Dacre Village Hall when Steve McNamara will talk about Help for Heroes. The competition is an HM Forces item. Visitors and new members are always very welcome.

Cycle Maintenance Course: as the Tour de France cycle race is coming to the Harrogate area next year we would like to encourage everyone to prepare their own bikes for the summer. We are planning to arrange a cycle maintenance course at Christ Church Community Centre in spring and before we book a cycle specialist we need to know if there is enough interest in the village and surrounding area to run this course.
