Nidderdale Society Walk: the next walk will be a walk around Darley on Tuesday, February 26 starting at Stocks Green, Darley at 10.30am. The leaders will be Kevin and Kaye and the walk will be four miles long. There is no charge. For more information contact 01423 780946.

Max Pullan Memorial Ground Quiz Night: the pavilion at the Max Pullan Memorial Ground at Dacre Banks has been rebuilt but still needs a lot of work and equipment to be provided inside. To help raise the necessary funds, the Dacre & Hartwith Playing Fields Association are presenting a special quiz night at Darley Memorial Hall on Friday, February 22 from 7pm.This will be a quiz night like you have never seen before, using the fantastic Darley cinema-size screen, and the full video, audio and lighting effects. Tickets cost £10 and include a two course hot supper and cabaret-style interval entertainment by Past Tense. Tickets are available from the Dacre Banks Cricket, Tennis or Bowls Clubs or telephone 01423) 780970. All proceeds go to the Max Pullan Memorial Ground Pavilion Restoration Fund.

Glasshouses & District Gardening Club: the next meeting will be held in Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall tonight, Thursday, February 21 at 7.45pm. The speaker will be Martin Fish and his subject will be New Season, New Beginnings, inspiring us to get underway for a fresh season in the garden. Felliscliffe Young Farmers: are holding their buffet dance on Saturday, February 23 at Darley Memorial Hall. Music is by The Directors. Wire Decoration Workshop: at The Studio, Dacre Banks, HG3 4EL on Tuesday, February 26, 7-9pm. Learn to make wire decorations and wall hangings as lovely pieces for your home or to give as unique gifts.All tools and wire will be provided along with some beads. There will be additional beads available to purchase on the evening. Bring your own beads and any broken jewellery you would like to upcycle into something new. Suitable for beginners and above.
