The Yorkshire region of Variety, The Children’s Charity has announced that this year’s Crystal Event will raise funds for Springwater Special School in Harrogate.
In collaboration with The Rainbow Fund, Variety is aiming to provide the school with a state of the art sensory room, a trampoline area and shelter for the playground.
The Crystal Event will take place on June 16 and 17 at Ripley Castle Lakeside. The event hosts a clay shoot on June 16 where teams of five are invited to take part, followed by a glamorous ball on June 17 with tables of 10 and 12 available. This year, the event is adopting a “Secret Garden” theme with entertainment from The Soul Jets, alongside Ray Quinn, of X Factor fame, with the signature menu again created by celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager.
Charlotte Farrington, of Variety, The Children’s Charity said: “We are appealing to the generous community of North Yorkshire to support this very worthy, local cause and book their seats at what promises to be a spectacular event.
“Springwater Special School desperately needs access to sensory equipment and a trampoline area that are vital not only for the physical and mental stimulation of the children, but also for their well-being and at present, these facilities are not available. The lack of outdoor shelter also considerably limits their access to the playground as there is currently no cover from the elements.
“We are of course eternally grateful to our sponsors this year, who include Alexanders Prestige Ltd and 4Life Wealth Management as major sponsors; Ison Harrison Solicitors, Bespoke Cars, The HACS Group, DS.Emotion, Slingsby Gin and H2K of Harrogate as co-sponsors; and Corporactive, Impulse Decisions and DFW Associates who are very kindly supporting the event.”
