According to a tweet from the North Yorkshire Police Traffic Bureau, drivers can expect to see more safety camera vehicles in the area as part of a planned operation to maximise visibility on Harrogate's roads.

The operation is called #OpVis and ensures that the vehicles can target a wider range of roads and communities.

The aim is to impact on driver behaviour and encourage them to drive in a more safe and cautious manner.

Safety cameras not only measure speed but can also monitor offences such as not wearing a seatbelt, using a mobile phone and more.
