Victim released from hospital following Harrogate town centre stabbing

A man who was stabbed in Harrogate town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning has been released from hospital.

Officers were called to Cheltenham Crescent, near the junction with Oxford Street, at around 1.50am following reports a man in his thirties had been stabbed.

The man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his back and his arm and has now been discharged.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding and a 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both have been released on bail.

Police have issued a further appeal for witnesses who were in the Cheltenham Crescent and Oxford Street area around that time to come forward.
