Update: Third arrest made over Harrogate stabbing

A third arrest has been made after a man and a woman were stabbed at a property on Chatsworth Road in Harrogate on Friday night.

Police were called to the at around 9.15pm where they discovered the 38-year-old man and a woman had been attacked with a large knife.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment and was then discharged on Monday.

A 27-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 32-year-old man was then arrested on Monday and was also released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are still hunting for the large knife used in the attack as well as two men who were seen in Chatsworth Road at the time.

One of the men is described as white, between 20 and 30 years old with short mousey brown hair, 5ft 9” – 5ft 10” tall, of medium/athletic build and was wearing a grey jumper.

The other man is described as white, of skinny build with a shaved head and was wearing a grey hooded top. He is believed to be slightly shorter in height than the other man.

Anyone who saw men of these descriptions in the Chatsworth Road area on Friday, September 25, is asked to contact the police.
