Daniel Beadle, 31, Paul Ramsey, 32, and Jordan Robson, 31, appeared at York Crown Court on Monday when the case was adjourned for a trial.

The three men are accused of kidnapping the alleged victim on October 17 last year. Ramsey, of Prospect Road, and Robson, of Greenfields Drive, are also accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Robson faces one other charge of possessing an offensive weapon, said to be a wooden bat, near Hookstone Woods on the same date.

Beadle, of Stonefall Avenue, is also charged with assault by beating.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to all the charges and a trial was fixed for June 13.

Judge Guy Kearl QC released all three men on bail until the trial, which is due to last for three days.
