Three charged after drugs raid

Three people from Harrogate are due to appear in court after drugs raid in the town.

The trio have been charged following an investigation by Harrogate police into the supply of drugs and money laundering.

Michael Patrick Mason, aged 30, of Westmoreland Street, Harrogate, has been charged with possessing a controlled drug (class c) with intent to supply, and money laundering (Acquire/use/possess criminal property)

Carol Mason, aged 64, of Woodfield Square, Harrogate has been charged with money laundering (Acquire/use/possess criminal property)

Joel Rayiru, aged 30, of Mount Parade, Harrogate has been charged with two counts of money laundering (Conceal/disguise/convert/transfer/remove criminal property and Acquire/use/possess criminal property)

All three will appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 10 December 2015.

The charges follow raids in March 2015 at properties in Woodfield Square, Harrogate and Mount Parade, Harrogate, and a search at a property in Westmoreland Street, Harrogate.
