Thieves have broken into a nursery in Pateley Bridge and stolen cash which had been collected for a cancer research charity.
Sunflowers Nursery on Low Wath Road, Pateley Bridge, as broken into overnight between last Wednesday and Thursday, December 17 and 18.
Police say thieves got in through a window facing Low Wath Road in Pateley Bridge. Officers are now appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information about what happened, to get in touch.
“This incident has caused considerable annoyance and distress to staff and parents at the nursery because the money was a charity collection which had been raised for cancer research,” said PC Bill Hickson, of Pateley Bridge police. “I am appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch with the police or Crimestoppers.”
