Staff at Harrogate Co-op threatened with 'bladed weapon' during robbery

Police are appealing for information after a man entered Bilton Co-op, on King Edward’s Drive and threatened staff with a bladed weapon.

The incident happened at approximately 7.30am today, Friday, when a man entered the shop and stole two bottles of vodka after threatening staff.

He then left on foot, turning left outside the shop towards King Edward’s Drive.

He is described as approximately 5ft 5, of broad build, wearing an illuminous green or yellow jacket and grey jack suit bottoms, and covering his face with a grey and black striped scarf

Officers attended and searched the area but the offender has not yet been found.

North Yorkshire Police is asking anyone with any information, CCTV or dash-cam footage taken in the area at the time to call 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room, quoting reference number 12200034811.
