Two men from Pontefract have been charged after police discovered a raft of stolen goods in a car in Harrogate.
The car was stopped by police on Knaresborough road at around 7.20 pm on Wednesday, June 8, due to its manner of driving and on suspicion of being involved in a shop theft.
Upon inspection, officers located a number of stolen goods in the car including rum, vodka, steaks and washing machine detergent.
Four men from Pontefract were arrested including a 36 and 42-year-old man who were both later released without charge.
A 58-year-old man was charged with two counts of willing and assisting an offence and a 27-year-old man was charged with two counts of theft.
