Police issue warning after spate of daytime Knaresborough burglaries

Homeowners in Knaresborough are being urged to stay vigilant following a spate of high-value daylight burglaries in the area.

On Thursday, October 29, four burglaries were reported to the police during the day when the occupants were all out at work.

Three of the attacks took place in Farnham whilst another occurred in Kirk Deighton with the criminals gaining entry by forcing windows and doors open.

High-value items including an iPad and a Playstation were stolen during the property at Shaw Lane in Farnham with a watch, camera and rucksack stolen from Sterling Chase in Farnham.

Cash was also stolen from a property in Ashdale View in Kirk Deighton but a house alarm in Farnham Fields prevented burglars gaining entrry to the property.

Anyone who has any information or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area yesterday, Thursday 29 October, is asked to contact the police. Dial 101, press 1 and pass information on to the force control room.
