Police investigate ‘unexplained’ death

Police were called to an address in Harrogate on New Year’s Day to a report of a seriously ill man.

The ambulance service called police just after 1pm on Thursday (January 1) and the 58-year-old man from the Woodfield Drive area, was taken to Harrogate District Hospital.

He later died after attempts to resuscitate him.

Police say they are treating the death as ‘unexplained’ at this time and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
