Police investigate after woman, 69, is found collapsed in Harrogate with head injuries

Police have sealed off parts of the Hookstone Chase area in Harrogate after a 69-year-old woman was found collapsed with head injuries.

Police sealed off parts of the Hookstone Chase area.

The woman was found by a member of the public on a path behind Sherwood Drive, off Hookstone Chase towards Panhandle Park, at around 9.45am this morning (Thursday, June 23).

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene and the woman was taken to Harrogate District Hospital.

Officers have cordoned off the bottom of Dalby Avenue and the path at the top of Hookstone Chase.

A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Police are knocking on doors in the area in an effort to establish what happened. We are still trying to determine if she's fallen or if it was something else."
