Police are hunting a Harrogate man in connection with the theft of aftershave from a town centre store.

North Yorkshire Police are urging the public to help trace Robert Street man John Mark Christiansen, 35.

Christiansen was arrested on January 12 for the theft of eight bottles of aftershave from Boots on Cambridge Street.

He was due to appear at Harrogate Magistrate’s Court on January 31 to answer that charge, and another of stealing four cans of cider from a petrol station on Ripon Road.

The court has issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear.

The latest appeal to find Christiansen is in connection with the theft of a further seven bottle of aftershave from the same Cambridge Street store.

The force is urging anyone who knows where Christiansen is or sees him around to contact them.

He is described as white, around 6ft 1in tall, with a slim build, brown hair and blue eyes.

PC Tom Barker, of Harrogate police, said: “Jon Christiansen is avoiding facing up to his offences and I am urging the public to help us find him and ensure that justice can be done.

“If you see him, please contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option one, and pass information to the Force Control Room.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
