A WANTED man has been spotted using a cash machine in Harrogate and police are now trying to trace his whereabouts.

Simon Keith Wilson, of Scarborough, was seen using an ATM in Jennyfields last Friday, March 25.

The 27-year-old is wanted for recall to prison after breaching the terms of his release licence. Police also believe that he has recently been in Wetherby.

Wilson, who was released from prison in January after being sentenced to 13 months for theft, goes by several different aliases.

He also uses the names Ian Docherty, A McDonald, Stephen Petit, Mike Sheldon, John Stevenson, Michael Strike and Ian Wilson.

Insp Tim Hutchinson, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “Although we don’t believe that Wilson poses any danger the public, it is important that we locate him so he can be returned to prison.

“His home address is in Scarborough, although we believe he has been in Harrogate recently and I am appealing to the residents of those areas to keep an eye out for him and let us know if they see him.”
