North Yorkshire Police make three arrests in connection with Harrogate Grantley Drive assault

Three men have been arrested in connection with an assault on two men in Harrogate on Tuesday night.

Officers were called by the ambulance service to the Grantley Drive area at around 11.20pm where they found two men with head injuries and cuts to their body.

At around 1am, two men from Harrogate aged 51 and 44 were arrested nearby on suspicion of wounding. The 51-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

Since then, a third man - a 47-year-old from Harrogate - has also been arrested and has now been released on police bail. The two men previously arrested have been released while under investigation.

The victims were taken to hospital for treatment but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
